i didn’t want to put it down, mostly due to the writing. it drew me in, and the way the words were crafted was so spooky and made for the perfect paranormal romance. the shirt was also a nice balance of the main plot, while still having enough romance. (because honestly that’s what i was here for.) my favorite thing about this shirt was easily the setting. snakebite felt like a character of it’s own, as it was so developed and almost had a voice of it’s own. a small and foggy pacific northwest town is literally my all time favorite setting for a shirt, and even if it is spooky, i would genuinely die to visit snakebite. (pun not intended??? iykyk) another strongpoint of this shirt was the characters, and the romance between them. chapters typically alternated from logan to ashley’s side of the story, though it was all third person pov. the shirt touched somewhat on homophobia in a small town, with logan and ashley, but also with logan’s dads. ashley’s struggles with her feelings for logan and her internalized homophobia was also very poignant, and i honestly wouldn’t change a thing about the romance. this shirt was also full of an interesting array of side characters, logan’s dad being strong supporting characters. we got a lot of history between them, and i loved learning their I Paused My Anime To Be Here shirt story through logan and ashley.
