What really bothered me about the writing was the way she would describe people in her anecdotes. Just about everyone in her stories was described as someone who was doing something that was borderline imbecilic and fortunately she had been there to rescue them from themselves or an animal they should have understood better.
Finally, there really isn’t a lot of meat to this book. It’s a very short book, and a quick read, but even still, it feels like a term paper that was triple spaced and sprinkled with adjectives to fill it out. And I guess that’s the part that bothered me; I felt she used disparaging anecdotes as the filler.
Lastly, this is just my humble opinion – if you liked the book, yours is no more or less valid than mine.
